In 2024 we are offering a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program with a pick-up site in Northern Manhattan!

  • Community Supported Agriculture reconnects people eating food to the farmers who grow it. Participants in our CSA will have 1 or 2 links between them and their food, not 6 or 12 or 25 as with most grocery stores and food delivery services.

  • From late May through mid November 2024, we will drop off seasonal, nutrient-dense produce from our farm each week at a convenient location in Northern Manhattan.

You will be able to pick a certain number of items from what we’re offering. That means you can take 1 unit of everything we’re offering that week, or 8 units of onions if you’d like. Are we offering a vegetable you dislike? You can pick something else instead!

We also hope to provide the option to purchase meats, dairy products, or other add-ons from farmers we know and trust.

  • We are taking a leap of faith by offering a Name Your Price model.

At this point, we will need $800 for a full share to make ends meet. (If we have an average season, subscribers will be receiving a market value of $1000+ of produce.) Some people will pay more than that $800 price point if they can afford to support us, while others will pay less so they can still eat delicious, nutritious produce within their economic means.

Community members who can afford to pay in advance or in installments for a season of fresh food will sign up in January or February. Neighbors who rely on SNAP benefits or EBT to purchase their food will also sign up in early 2024, but they will have the option to pay week-by-week.

I'm interested! How do I learn more?

We’re so excited to develop this project. Please share some information with us so we can stay in touch as we roll out our pilot CSA for 2024.

You can also view a recorded info session from January 2024.
